Look at how she captures my main character's mischievousness--those eyes, that smirk! Can't you tell there's a lot going on beneath those gorgeous braids? I also love the design done by Holiday House art director, Kerry Martin. There's such a vintage vibe going on. It perfectly captures my historical setting."
